Steps to Prepare for Hunting

I am glad to see you are reading this and today you will learn about how to get ready for a hunt. It all starts with the preparing a week or so before. You should call the people where you are going hunting and let them know you are coming. This way they know why you are going to be at their house and on their land. Second you have to prepare everything for in the morning, and you do this the night before the hunt. The third and final thing is getting up at whatever time and getting dressed and ready to hunting. In the rest of this blog post I will go more into depth on these steps.

1. First you will call someone to let them know you are coming. On this call you should discuss what time you will stay and what time you will leave. Let them know what spot you are going to be in, and also what are hunting for, and also what you are hunting with. This reminds me of an article I once read titled Preparing for the Hunt” from IHEA (International Hunter Education Association) website, which instructs that “A very important and safe step in preparing for a hunt is to plan it out first.”

2. The night before the hunt is the prime time to get everything ready. I usually make a list and check the items off when I put them in my hunting bag. I also lay out my clothes for hunting. These consist of camouflage overalls, shirt, and boots. Then the bottom layer is thermals, pants, and a t-shirt. I go ahead and put the the hunting bags and firearms in the truck at this time also.

3. The next step is getting up early and heading out into the woods. I usually get up about five o'clock in the morning. This gives me enough time to get a shower, get dressed, and eat something. After i’m done with this, I go to where I hunt and get in the tree stand or ground blind. The only thing left to do is to wait and see what happens.

I hope you will benefit from this post as much as possible. Comment if you think there should be another step or not. Remember, the most important thing is to have fun and not take hunting so serious.

  2. I like how you summarize the basic steps and then go into greater detail. However, you "quote" should be a paraphrase, and the formatting is different. Make sure you capitalize also.
